Limit the maximum number of adjournments that can be granted in commercial disputes

Approved View File CHAPTER VI Section 16(2) specifies that Code of Civil Procedure 1908 shall be applicable to Commercial Courts. Thus the limits in the Order XVII Rule 1 (a) (b) (c) (d) of the Code of Civil Procedures, 1908 that limit the grant of the adjournments in a civil trial to unforeseen and exceptional circumstances is applicable to the Commercial Court in Chhattisgarh.
